The plan: Buffalo Public Schools in upstate New York is in the market for an interactive Spanish language software for K-6 students. The software will be used by students in the district’s dual language program and is intended to allow them to practice their Spanish literacy skills at their own pace, the district said in its request for proposals. The tools should also facilitate small group instruction, allowing students to “meaningfully” learn outside of direct instruction from a teacher, the RFP states. The plan: St. Tammy Parish Schools in Louisiana is looking for a vendor to provide desktop computers for the 2025-26 school year. The district needs up to 3,000 computers, all of which must be new and the most current versions available from manufacturers, according to the request for proposals. The devices will be used across the district’s 76 school and office buildings. Vendors may submit pricing for more than one manufacturer, the RFP states. The plan: Petersburg City Pubic Schools in Virginia is seeking to design and implement a key performance indicator system framework, which will create a system for monitoring school improvement. The framework needs to be aligned with the performance goals of individual schools and divisions, and collect measurable outcomes across specific target areas, the district said in its request for proposals. Those target areas include student attendance and suspensions, among others. Vendors should also provide visualizations, charts, and reports as needed and offer three training sessions for school and division leaders on the system, structure, and resources, the district said.
