Red Flag Warnings issued in Oregon as lightning storms and strong wind gusts develop

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The National Weather Service in Boise is reporting Red Flag Warnings in Oregon.

Thunderstorms developing across Oregon Friday afternoon have “abundant lightning in storms,” reports NWS Boise. Lightning mixed with dry conditions and potential wind gusts up to 50 mph have led to Red Flag Warnings. Outflows may travel as far as the Snake Plain, according to NWS Boise, but are expected to weaken by the time they travel that far.
