FORT WORTH – Gloria Jean Richardson, 87, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, August 31, 2025, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Gloria and her brother Charles (CW) enjoyed performing with a dance group together as children and he gave her the nickname “Sis”. She was a twirler in high school and took typing classes that helped her land a job as a secretary. Gloria resided in Fort Worth, Texas all her life. She attended TCC and TCU then worked at Bell Helicopter for 10 years, and General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin for 20 years before her retirement. Gloria enjoyed traveling to Mexico, Canada, Europe, and many U.S. states, making friends along the way. She loved playing tennis and had a great love of music. She was a beautiful pianist, playing her grand piano every chance she got. Her balcony overlooking Eagle Mountain Lake was one of her favorite spots to enjoy the view and sunbathe. She also volunteered at Bass Hall, the Fort Worth Garden Club, Fort Worth Symphony, Fort Worth Opera, Cooks Children’s Hospital and Young Life Camps. She was faithful to bring her daughters to church where they both learned about God’s great love and started their walk of faith. Gloria was private about her faith, but she knew that salvation comes through faith alone in Jesus Christ. She believed in Him and we know she is in heaven enjoying her new body, talking, walking and using her hands again. She is healed and free.
