Nan was a devoted Christian who spent countless hours reading scriptures, praying for her family and attending church. Her husband, Clay, was the music director for many years at the churches they attended, and Nan always accompanied him on the piano. Nan earned her GED in her 30’s, as education was always important to her. She was very self-educated and a lifelong learner. Nan loved playing games around the table with her friends. She and Clay played Jokers and Marbles with their friends for years. Once Clay passed and Nan moved into a 55 and over community, she made many new friends and played games on a regular basis. Nan also loved playing the piano and continued playing as long as she possibly could!
