Here is a breakdown of Florida football’s pregame injury list in its matchup against South Florida

Florida football looks like it will be missing its fair share of players, but also returns one of its key veterans in its matchup against South Florida on Saturday, Sept. 6.

The Gators are still without defensive tackle Caleb Banks, who finished 2024 with 20 tackles, seven TFLs and 4.5 sacks. Banks did not take part in pregame warmups.

Defensive back Micheal Caraway Jr. also did not participate in team warmups as he was in street clothes. The redshirt senior recorded a pass breakup last week. Offensive lineman Fletcher Westphal, a redshirt freshman, did not take part in pregame activities.

True freshman wide receiver Dallas Wilson, did not participate in pregrame activities for a second straight week. Wilson, who was again in a boot, had 10 catches for 195 yards and two touchdowns in UF’s spring game.

Redshirt freshman defensive back Teddy Foster, who recorded one tackle last week, was also not dressed out.

However, redshirt sophomore wide receiver Aidan Mizell appears to be back after missing last week’s game against Long Island. Mizell ran routes and participated in pregame warmups. Mizell recorded 17 catches for 202 yards and two touchdowns in 2024.

Also taking part in pregame warmups were junior linebacker Grayson Howard, who dealt with a leg injury and was limited in fall camp. Sophomore edge rusher LJ McCray also participated in warmups after having a leg injury at the start of fall camp. Freshman cornerback Ben Hanks III was also dressed out.
