Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has agreed to join Trabzonspor on loan for the 2025/26 season.
In the final hours of the summer transfer window, Manchester United confirmed a deal for Senne Lammens on deadline day.
Lammens will hope to quickly become the No.1 at United, especially after both Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana started the season poorly.
Reports have claimed Onana’s relationship with Ruben Amorim soured over the summer, and now the Cameroon international is set to depart with Lammens taking his place.
While the English window is closed, the window in Turkey remains open and Trabzonspor have agreed a deal for Onana with United.

United had no issues agreeing a loan deal for Onana, but a move also requires the player to agree terms.
Via transfer expert Graeme Bailey, sources have confirmed to United in Focus that Onana has agreed to join Trabzonspor.
The Cameroon international is set to join the Turkish Super League side on loan for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.
Bailey said: “As we revealed at the start of August, United were looking at letting Onana go if, and when, they brought another keeper in and they did just that.
“I am told that there was interest in Bayindir too but it was club preference to let Onana go and the player wanted to be let out.
“At this point he thought playing in Turkey was his best option.”
Andre Onana exit is a win-win for Man United
With the African Cup of Nations right around the corner, it was important for Onana to be playing regular football this season.
That would not have been the case had he stayed in Manchester. Lammens has been signed to be United’s new No.1, and there is also Bayindir competing for a starting space.

Confidence in Onana hit rock bottom after his mistakes against Grimsby Town in the recent Carabao Cup shock upset.
Combined with his soured relationship with Amorim, it was best for all parties for Onana to leave and play elsewhere in 2025/26.
