Two pedestrians were critically injured after being hit by cars in separate crashes in Fort Worth Saturday night, police said.

Officers responded to the first crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian around 11 p.m. Saturday in the 2600 block of South Riverside Drive, police said.

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

Second auto-pedestrian crash

Officers responded to another crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian about 11:10 p.m. in the 900 block of West Risinger Road in south Fort Worth. A pedestrian was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

Traffic investigation officers will determine the cause of both crashes, police said.
