Mike Hilton made our list of potential free agents for Philadelphia to target, and the veteran cornerback will work out for the Eagles on Monday, Jordan Schultz reports.
Philadelphia is loaded at several key positions and is a bona fide Super Bowl contender. Still, there’s no doubt that Vic Fangio’s defense has an urgent issue at the cornerback spot opposite Quinyon Mitchell. While Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, Andrew Mukuba, and Reed Blankenship were outstanding on Thursday night, Adoree Jackson and Jakorian Bennett were huge disappointments, and Kelee Ringo saw all of his snaps on special teams. Jackson was targeted seven times. He allowed five catches and 103 yards receiving and looked overmatched against CeeDee Lamb.
Hilton has a natural feel for playing in space as a coverage defender, and in the slot, he offers the aggressive mentality to tackle and blitz on the edges.
