Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a woman and wounding of a man at 3804 Mount Pleasant Street about 7:30 p.m. on August 16.

The suspect, John Guy Tucker, 54, is charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 209th Criminal District Court.  A photo of Tucker, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.

The female victim is identified as Angela Perry, 51.

The male victim, 67, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Gardner and Detective M. Providence reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at a residence at the above address and found an unresponsive female in the living room. She had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Officers located a male in a bedroom. He had also suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the female deceased at the scene. The male was transported to an hospital.

Further investigation identified the suspect as Tucker. After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, he was charged on August 21 for his role in the shooting and remains at-large.
