From community service to moments of silence, several ceremonies are planned across Tarrant County to remember those who died during the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. 

First responders also will be honored at some events in the Fort Worth area. Here’s where you can reflect and commemorate the nearly 3,000 victims lost: 

Join several Tarrant cities for 9/11 ceremonies

Six north Tarrant County cities will raise their flags, sing the national anthem, offer brief remarks and host moments of silence on Thursday. 

North Richland Hills

When: 7:30 a.m. 

Where: City Hall Outdoor Plaza, 4301 City Point Drive, North Richland Hills

Admission: Free

Grapevine

When: 7:40 a.m. 

Where: Grapevine Station, 1000 Texan Trail, Grapevine

Haltom City

When: 8:30 a.m.

Where: Central Fire Station, 5525 Haltom Road, Haltom City

Admission: Free

Euless

When: 9 a.m. 

Where: 9/11 Memorial, 201 N. Ector Drive, Euless

Kennedale

When: 9 a.m. 

Where: TownCenter Park, 405 Municipal Drive, Kennedale

Southlake

When: 9 a.m.

Where: Liberty Gardens in Bicentennial Park, 200 Unity Way, Southlake

Remember the World Trade Center at a Fort Worth museum

Guests are invited to stand at the center of the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History’s 9/11 Tribute Exhibition. The museum display includes a beam that supported three floors above the center of the impact zone at the World Trade Center’s North Tower. The ceremony will be led by Fort Worth police officer Damon Johnson. 

When: 2 p.m. Sept. 11

Admission: Free

Listen to musicians reflect at ‘American Soldier’ concert

The show will feature a performance by American Soldier as a tribute to Toby Keith’s 9/11 song. All proceeds from the event go to the Arlington Veterans Park Memorial Foundation.

When: 7 p.m., Sept. 11

Where: Levitt Pavilion, 100 W. Abram St., Arlington

Admission: Free

Firefighters, first responders honor victims at ‘2025 Tower Climb’

Participants will climb 110 floors in the Bank of America Tower in homage to the 110 floors of the World Trade Center. A local pipe and drum band will start the ceremony with a rendition of “Amazing Grace” followed by a moment of silence. There will be a designated area for spectators. 

When: 8 a.m. Sept. 13

Where: City Center/Bank of America Tower, 301 Commerce St., Fort Worth

Admission: $54 to participate; free for spectators

Roll up sleeves for ‘Day of Service’

Community members are invited to pick up litter to preserve the environment. Throughout the event, participants can create and decorate cards for local first responders.

When: 9-11 a.m. Sept. 13

Where: James McKnight Park East, 700 U.S. Highway 287 North, Mansfield

Admission: Free

Ride through streets at ‘9/11 Memorial Cruise’

Car lovers are invited to make stops at 9/11 memorials across Tarrant County. The cruise starts in north Fort Worth before moving to Grapevine and Watauga. 

When: 8 a.m., Sept. 14

Where: Bass Pro Shops, 12901 Cabelas Drive, Fort Worth

Admission: Free
