As the Michigan Interscholastic Golf Coaches Association released its Sept. 8 edition of the high school girls golf rankings, the musical chairs of team placements had officially commenced.

Division 1 went untouched as each team remained at their previous rank from the opening rankings, while Divisions 2-4 underwent some transformations.

Farmington Hills Mercy, the three-time defending Division 2 state champions, moved up two slots while another Oakland County team, Birmingham Seaholm (No. 8), made its way onto the list for the first time this year.
