A Dallas hotel restaurant previously open to hotel guests only is now open to the public: Called Léonie, it’s located at Hotel Swexan, at 2575 McKinnon St. in the Harwood District and it’s now welcoming anyone off the street.
Hotel Swexan, which opened in 2023, is part of the Harwood International portfolio which includes a swarm of office buildings, residential, and restaurants that populate the Harwood District, a 19-city block neighborhood in between Victory Park and Uptown.
The hotel opened with five restaurants, four of which were open to the public: their steakhouse Stillwell’s; Babou’s, their lounge & cocktail bar; Pomelo, a private rooftop bar; and Isabelle’s, the lobby restaurant that serves continental breakfasts, martinis, and small bites.
Léonie has two items worthy of note: An Italian-inspired menu with a wood-fired pizza oven; and a notable location on the 20th floor with views of the Dallas skyline.
The menu, which you heretofore could not get your paws on, includes beef skewers with sunchokes, meatballs with foccaccia, tuna nachos, airline chicken, and orechiette with bacon, peas, and parmesan. At lunch, there’s salads, a smashburger, and a club sandwich.
There are five pizzas including pepperoni, cheese pizza, pistachio & hot honey, and a pizza of the day. They’re also open for breakfast, with pancakes, omelet, migas, eggs benedict, avocado toast, frittata, and steak & eggs.
A special Taste of Léonie menu, offered at $75 per person, showcases seasonal dishes like Italian wedding soup with cous cous, prawns & polenta, and hot honey & fennel ricotta with sourdough batard.
An optional three-course wine pairing is available for $35 per person.
On Saturdays and Sundays, Léonie hosts afternoon tea with teas and finger foods, also now open to the public, for $85 or and $35 for 12 and under.
Other restaurants in the Harwood International empire include Saint Ann Restaurant and Bar, Happiest Hour, Marie Gabrielle, Dolce Riviera, Magnolias: Sous Le Pont, Poco Fiasco, Elephant East, Mercat Bistro, Fig & Favor, and Te Deseo.
