SAN ANTONIO – A driver walked away from the scene unharmed after her vehicle was hit by a train.

Around 11:09 p.m. on Wednesday, first responders were called to the scene of a major accident involving a train at the corner of South Presa Street and East Southcross Blvd on the South Side.

When responders arrived, they found that a vehicle had been struck by a train while over the tracks.

According to the San Antonio Fire Department, the driver said she was driving over the tracks when the warning arms began to come down. When she attempted to reverse, the train collided with her vehicle.

The driver was evaluated by first responders and was determined to be unharmed. The crash is still under investigation.
