Several big brown trout and some impressive rainbows have passed by our desk — not the trout themselves, of course, but the photos that our anglers have sent us, answering the call in the top left of this weekly newsletter to share your latest photos. Thanks to the great weather we had in recent days, right before this latest late-summer uptick in temps, we’ve got a stockpile to feature on here for the next couple of weeks, some that are just as amazing as this one.
Robert Tinnin (with the fish, above) was fishing with Ken Dougherty on the White River near Bull Shoals State Park earlier this year when they brought in this terrific brown trout. Robert credits the help of guide Kristopher Bouldin, along with Bouldin’s “exceptional boat skill … that allowed me to land this awesome brown trout.” He says it put up a 30-minute fight and was caught in high water on a Sunday Special.
