We’re thrilled to welcome Henridell (she/her) to the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia as our PHENND AmeriCorps VISTA, joining the Education Team as a Youth Bike Coordinator!
Originally from sunny South Florida, Henridell brings a powerful combination of compassion, purpose, and a deep commitment to service. With a bachelor’s degree in Criminology from Florida State University and experience as a Forensic Care Coordinator in the mental health space, she has seen firsthand the impact of meeting people where they are, and walking alongside them through complex systems.
That experience, coupled with a desire to make broader, systemic change, led her to pursue a Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in nonprofit management. Through the VISTA program, Henridell is now diving into youth development, cycling education, and capacity building with us, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her on the team!
In her new role, she will support coordination and evaluation across our youth elementary programs, bringing fresh ideas, sharp insight, and a heart for advocacy and community building. We asked Henridell about her short time at BCGP, she said:
“One of the best surprises so far has been learning how passionate many of my teammates are for cycling, both on and off the clock.”
Outside of work you might find her kayaking, trying new cuisines, painting pottery, exploring local nature parks, and spending time with her black cat, Hatsuki!
We’re so excited for the year ahead and the energy, creativity, and passion Henridell brings to the team.
Please join us in giving her a warm welcome, and stay tuned for the amazing work ahead!
