ED SHEERAN SCOOPS ICE CREAM IN TRIBECA
Ed Sheeran was scooping ice cream at Van Leeuwen on Wednesday — they created a flavor called Play Pink in honor of Sheeran’s upcoming album Play, coming out Friday. (I met Luciano Singer, in the photo above, on the street and he sent me this photo.) The ice cream is punch-flavored (yikes?), swirled with dragonfruit and guava cake. The folks I met with a few scoops on Wednesday said it tasted like strawberry but sweeter. Van Leeuwen said it is the pinkest ice cream they have ever made. (Everyone said Sheeran was really nice, which doesn’t surprise me if you have ever watched “Yesterday,” one of my all-time faves.)
