West Virginia and Pitt will battle on Saturday afternoon as the Panthers come to Morgantown for another edition of The Backyard Brawl. Things have been shifting toward the Panthers, as the Vegas line has gone from -2.5 to -7.5 in favor of Pitt.

So, we know how the bettors feel, but what about everyone else?  EerSports has taken this opportunity to look around the industry for the experts’ thoughts on the game and if they agree. Here’s what we found.

Starting with the computers, ESPN’s Football Power Index gives the Mountaineers a 40.6% chance of winning. PFF’s Greenline likes West Virginia even less at 38.6%, while Bill Connelly’s SP+ middles the two, giving WVU a 39% chance of winning the game.

As for living human beings, David Kenyon over at BleacherReport has Pitt winning, 24-16. All three experts at AthlonSports picked the Panthers.

And…. that’s it. Because neither team is ranked, not many college football national writers are taking the time to pick this week’s game.
