SAN ANTONIO — Authorities are searching for a motorcyclist accused of hitting a pedestrian and leaving the scene on Friday, leaving them seriously injured.

The incident happened around 9:38 p.m. in the 900 block of Fredericksburg Road on the North Central Side of town.

Police say a man was crossing Fredericksburg Road, not using a crosswalk, when a motorcyclist traveling southeast struck them. The driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries but police said they were stable at last check. The motorcyclist is facing a charge of collision involving serious bodily injury.
