The land includes a section of the WFAA parking lot.
The court filing, which is a step toward taking over the property through eminent domain, named a number of property owners including WFAA.
The filing says the city has made a final offer to purchase the land from the property owners and gave them at least 14 days to respond.
The city declined to comment.
WFAA President and General Manager Carolyn Mungo said, “WFAA is aware of the lawsuit and is currently weighing its legal options.”
