Will Cowboys fans have the chance to enjoy a victory on Sunday?
Week 2 of the NFL football schedule normally gives fans a much better sense of what their teams are capable of for any given season. Week 1 matchups are subject to the team’s offseason preparation, where some clubs who did not trot out their starters in the preseason having to shake off rust in the form of penalties, missed assignments and dropped passes. Week 1 also had an interesting twist, as for the second year in a row there was a Friday night contest.
The second week has already started off, with two NFC playoff teams from 2024 squaring off as the Green Bay Packers handled the Washington Commanders on Thursday night. With no Friday game this week, the NFL is still operating on a different schedule, with four teams having to wait until Monday to kick off as there’s a rare double-header during the work week.
With all eyes routinely focused on the Cowboys, is the NFL going to make the world wait until Monday to see them play? Or will the Dallas Cowboys be playing football today?
The Cowboys will host the New York Giants and their new quarterback, Russell Wilson on Sunday, in an early game. Fans won’t have to sit back and wait at all, kickoff is at noon.
