A person died early Sunday when the vehicle they were driving collided with a car at a traffic light, Dallas police said.

Three vehicles were involved in the collision that occurred at FM1382 at West Camp Wisdom Road around 2:20 a.m., police said.

Two of the vehicles had been slowing down as they approached the traffic light on the road as another vehicle approached at a high speed, police said. The speeding vehicle collided with with the middle vehicle from behind, pushing it into the one in front.

The driver of the speeding vehicle was taken to a hospital, where they died, police said.

The occupants inside the middle car were also taken to a hospital, while people in the first car had minor injuries, police said. The condition of the victims in the second car was not immediately disclosed.
