The New York Jets (0-2) came into Week 2 looking to get revenge after losing their season-opener to former Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. New York had some reasons to be optimistic about the rest of their season following a narrow loss to the Steelers, but Sunday’s game against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills had the opposite effect.

The Jets lost to the Bills on Sunday 30-10 after Buffalo raced out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter and did not look back in this AFC East matchup. New York quarterback Justin Fields did not build on his Week 1 performance as he finished the contest with just 27 passing yards, but he did leave the game early after being evaluated for a concussion.

Ultimately, Allen and the Bills did what they need to do to win this game convincingly as the offense put up 403 yards of total offense while the defense held Fields and the Jets to just 154 yards. Sunday did not look good for the Jets on either side of the ball so with that being said, here is the stock report for New York following Sunday’s blowout to the Bills:

Wilson was about the only bright spot for the Jets in this one as he was the only New York player to rack up more than nine receiving yards against the Bills. Wilson has seen better days in the receiving game after catching 4-of-8 targets for yards (12.5 yards per reception), but he wasn’t the reason that the Jets’ offense struggled this much.

While Tyrod Taylor is pictured here, the Jets offense was in shambles prior to his entering the game as New York averaged just 3.3 yards per play even after he came in and did what he did on short notice. Fields finished the game with a 1.1 QBR, starting running back Breece Hall averaged just 2.9 yards per carry, and it should be repeated that only one player had more than nine receiving yards.

Similar to Garrett Wilson on the offensive end, linebacker Jamien Sherwood was the lone bright spot on a Jets defense that had no answers for Allen and company. Sherwood had one of his best games in the NFL as he racked up 13 tackles (6 solo) including two tackles for losses showing how much of an impact he had in an otherwise dismal performance from the defensive unit.

While this section could have been named after the entire Jets defense, it was important to point out that someone like Williams can’t have the kind of game he had if New York is going to go to the playoffs. Williams totaled two tackles (2 solo) including one tackle for a loss, but he has to be more disruptive, especially against someone like Josh Allen.

Stock Up: QB Tyrod TaylorSep 14, 2025; East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA; New York Jets quarterback Tyrod Taylor (2) drops back to pass against the Buffalo Bills during the second half at MetLife Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Vincent Carchietta-Imagn Images

Taylor deserves a shoutout here if for nothing else then for his ability to be ready to play when the moment came, especially with Fields being evaluated for a concussion. Taylor came off the bench to complete 7-of-11 passes for 56 yards and one touchdown, along with toting the ball three times for 21 yards. Taylor was once a starting quarterback for a reason and Sunday was another example of that.

After being on last week’s version of this list as a stock up, Hall finds himself on the other side due to his ability to make an impact on the game in any way. Granted, almost everyone who wore a Jets jersey on Sunday made little to no impact, but Hall is playing for his next contract and nothing would be more indicative of his value to the team than being the reason that the franchise makes it to the playoffs due to his play.
