The families of Andrew and Nicola Forrest and the late fashion designer Carla Zampatti have poured millions of dollars into a new venture capital fund that exclusively invests in female-led businesses.

Scale Investors has secured $26 million for its debut venture capital fund, which is aiming to reach $100 million. The fund is backed by the children of Zampatti, the Forrests’ Minderoo Foundation, as well as Thickins Family Office, founded by Celina Thickins and her husband, Joel Thickins, the head of private equity firm TPG Asia.
