HonorHealth, a non-profit healthcare provider in Phoenix, Arizona, has been announced as the Official Health and Wellness Sponsor of the 2025 Phoenix Marathon and 2026 Mesa Marathon.
The partnership, which sees HonorHealth act as the Presenting Sponsor of the Runner Recovery Zone, aims to introduce more health and wellness elements into the two run communities.
According to a release by event organiser Brooksee, HonorHealth will provide on-site medical coverage on race day and offer post-race recovery stretching and massages in dedicated tents.
Phil Dumontet, CEO of Brooksee, said “One of our major goals with these events is to grow the overall health and wellness of both communities. By joining forces with HonorHealth, an organisation rooted in Arizona for nearly 100 years, we are able to really strengthen that goal, while continuing to build our local relationships.”
Gayle Cassidy, AVP of HonorHealth Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, said “Our mission is to support the health and well-being of our community, and this alliance is a natural extension of that.
“Runners put so much heart and discipline into preparing for these events, and we want to match that commitment by providing the best medical and recovery care possible while promoting lifelong wellness.”
The 2025 Phoenix Marathon is scheduled for December 13, 2025, and will feature a marathon, half marathon, and 10K. The courses run entirely within the city of Phoenix.
The marathon course will run down Camelback Road through the Biltmore area, offering views of local neighbourhoods, desert landscapes, and Camelback Mountain. Half and full marathon runners will follow this route, while 10K participants will begin at 40th Street on the Arizona Canal Trail before joining the main route.
All three distances will finish near Phoenix Municipal Stadium, with views of Papago Park on the final approach.
The Mesa Marathon will offer four distances: marathon, half marathon, 10K, and a free Kids 1K run for children aged 12 and under.
The fast-pace marathon course begins below Usery Mountain and features nearly 1,000 feet of net elevation loss. The half marathon has nearly 200 feet of net elevation loss and runs towards Riverview Park, while the 10K winds through historic downtown Mesa.
Brooksee is an endurance event production company that also organises the Las Vegas Marathon and Portland Marathon, alongside the REVEL Race Series. It added that its events recently earned four of the top 10 spots on FindMyMarathon.com’s independent ranking of the 50 Best Boston Marathon Qualifying Races for 2025.
