SAN ANTONIO – A man was killed early Tuesday morning after a four-vehicle crash on a North Side highway.
The deadly accident happened around 2 a.m. along the northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 281 near Thousand Oaks Drive.
Police said the driver of a large pickup truck was speeding when it crashed into the back of a smaller pickup. The smaller vehicle’s driver was pinned inside and pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the larger truck was detained after being given a field sobriety test and is under investigation for possible intoxication, police said.
Two additional vehicles were involved in the crash, but no other injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
