SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) is investigating a four-car crash on the North Side that has left one man dead.

KENS 5 reports the crash happened around 2 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 281 near Thousand Oaks Drive.

Investigators say the driver of a large pickup truck slammed into the rear-end of a smaller pickup, trapping that driver inside. According to SAPD, the driver who was pinned inside his truck died at the scene. The victim was only identified as being in his thirties.

The driver of the large pickup truck was arrested, possibly for DWI. Investigators say speed and alcohol were likely contributors to the crash.

Two other cars were also involved in the crash, but no other injuries were reported.
