Bomb Squad conducting training on south side at San Antonio Police Academy

SAN ANTONIO – Residents on the south side are being told not to be alarmed as Bomb Squad officers conduct their training.

From 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) Bomb Squad Unit will be conducting training at the San Antonio Police Training Academy, near the corner of Loop 410 and Pleasanton Road.

According to a post from SAPD on X (formerly Twitter), the Bomb Squad will be conducting controlled detonations as a part of training.

The community is advised not to be alarmed, as this is routine training. Nearby residents may hear loud noises as a result of the detonations.
