PHOENIX — Phoenix will host its 37th annual “Fabulous Phoenix 4th” at Steele Indian School Park on July 4.

This free event features one of the largest fireworks shows in the state and activities for the whole family. The event attracts thousands of attendees to the park in central Phoenix.

The event will feature an ice cream sandwich eating contest, a classic car show and several activities for kids and teens. It will also have a designated area reserved for veterans and their families, featuring fireworks view seating and letters to veterans.

Know before you go: Public parking will not be available at the event site, and it is strongly recommended that attendees take the light rail to avoid traffic. No outside fireworks will be permitted at the event.

Patrons at the event are recommended to bring personal shade devices and plenty of water, although water will also be available for purchase at the park.

4th of July Event Details

When: Friday, July 4 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Fireworks show to start at 9:30 p.m.

Where: Steele Indian School Park, on 3rd Street and Indian School road.

Cost: Free admission for all. Food and artisan goods will be available to buy from local vendors.
