Iga Swiatek is going to be bidding for glory in Seoul with one eye potentially looking towards the WTA Finals in Saudi Arabia in November.
The Polish player has had a pretty decent 2025 and will be keen to avoid it finishing in a disappointing fashion.
Swiatek was criticised for her US Open defeat against Amanda Anisimova, and she will be hoping to bounce back in the coming weeks.
A fitness update has been given on Swiatek and it would appear that she is ready to go in Seoul as the Asian swing gets underway.
There have been some very positive matches for Swiatek this year, with none more emphatic than her display in the Wimbledon final.

Swiatek has taken part in some blockbuster matches in 2025 and has claimed a Grand Slam title during the year.
However, Fisette hasn’t chosen the Wimbledon final as Swiatek’s best, with the double bagel victory over Anisimova being overlooked for another match.
He told Sport.PL: “That’s a tough question. Honestly, I think the match against (Elena) Rybakina in Cincinnati was definitely one of the best.
“Iga served really well and returned well. She was very strong from the baseline on a surface that’s definitely better for her opponent. She simply played great tennis.
“She (Rybakina) played well too. It was a great match overall, I think that one is definitely up there.”
Swiatek match compared to Alcaraz and Sinner final
It’s hard to fathom that the coach of Swiatek doesn’t think a 6-0, 6-0 win over a top-four player on the grandest stage of all is the best match she has played all year.
But that’s where Fisette is currently and he’s shared why he believes that match has been overlooked by the semifinal she played against Rybakina in Cincinnati.
He continued: “The Wimbledon final, on the other hand, was something—as Carlos Alcaraz and his coach would put it after beating Jannick Sinner at the US Open—a sort of “perfect execution.”
“For me, the London final was just that—”perfect execution.”
“Iga served very well, returned very well, was effective from the baseline—it was simply “perfect execution.”
“So I must admit, the Wimbledon final was her best match for me, but the match against Rybakina in Cincinnati is among the very best.”
Swiatek will now hope to finish the year with a flourish and claim more titles before we wave goodbye to 2025.
