SAN ANTONIO – A man was arrested Monday night in connection with the shooting deaths of two men over the weekend at a Northwest Side apartment complex.
Joe John Perez, 54, was charged with capital murder of multiple persons.

The deadly shootings happened around 2 a.m. Sunday Casa Del Sol Apartments off Callaghan Road near Interstate 10.
Officers found a 26-year-old man dead at the front entrance. As they searched the complex, they discovered 40-year-old Jose Gregorio Yanez-Nava lying in front of an apartment door, also fatally shot.

Investigators reported that an altercation involving multiple people preceded the shooting.
Detectives, using witness accounts and video surveillance, gathered evidence showing Perez shot both victims.
He arrested without incident.
