Ned Fulmer, former wife guy of the Try Guys, is separated from his wife, Ariel, whom he admitted to cheating on with an employee three years ago. He was removed from the company following the scandal, which was so big that Saturday Night Live parodied it. But he’s now ready to make a comeback. On September 16, before reports about a separation broke, Ned insisted in a People interview that his relationship with Ariel was “certainly stronger than it was before” — and announced that she would be the first guest on his (rebranded) podcast, Rock Bottom.

Below, everything we know about Ned Fulmer’s pivot to ex-wife guy.

They have separated, People confirmed. However, it seems we’re meant to believe that they’re still on good terms: Ned’s rep told People that he still “cares deeply” for Ariel, adding that they are working on something new (though it’s not clear what) and went to Greece together with their children this summer.

TMZ was the first to report that Ned and Ariel had split, citing sources close to the couple — and publishing a photo of him out with another woman at the Zebulon music venue in Los Angeles on September 7. There was no PDA, an eyewitness said, but the pair were chatting “for a really long time.”

Ned previously insisted in a September 16 interview that his relationship with Ariel post-affair was “certainly stronger than it was before,” telling People, “We have a much clearer sense of boundaries — understanding and respecting each other’s boundaries — as well as integrity and being direct with each other, even when it might be unpleasant.” According to Ned, they built a new “foundation of trust” and reached “a place of healing” after going to couples therapy.

Ned is returning to content creation with Rock Bottom, a show that promises to explore “people’s lowest, most embarrassing, and challenging moments” and feature “raw, unfiltered conversations with comedians, creators, authors, and celebrities” who will discuss “how they not only survived it all but transformed their lives.” Ariel appears on the first episode of his podcast on September 17 … although, technically, it used to be her podcast, too.

Ned’s Rock Bottom YouTube channel is actually just the renamed page for Baby Steps, a parenting podcast he used to co-host with Ariel. (We know this because the account’s handle is currently still @babysteps.) Years-old reviews of the podcast on Apple Podcasts and Spotify make it clear that he did the same thing on those platforms, too. Rock Bottom is not building from the bottom up.

In a teaser for the hour-long episode, Ariel appeared to recount the moment that she started having serious suspicions about Ned. “I knew in my brain that something was going on, but I just sort of refused to believe it,” she recalled as Ned nodded. “And then when I saw that just wildly guilty look on your face, like you wanted to tell me something …”

This is a developing story.
