Hello Houston: The Commuter Cut
In today’s edition of “The Commuter Cut,” we hear highlights from Hello Houston’s live broadcast from Untitled Art Houston at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
First, we hear Ernie, Frank, and Celeste’s conversation with Untitled Art founder Jeff Lawson and Untitled Art director Michael Slenske, who explain how the fair began, what makes it different, and why it was decided to bring the fair to Houston.
Also, they talk with Erin Dorn of Seven Sisters Gallery, who tells us more about her gallery, which is one of 88 other galleries participating in the fair.
Then, we hear from two voices at the intersection of urban culture and contemporary art, artists El Franco Lee II and Isabelle Brourman, who both explain how they’re bringing their deeply personal and deeply Houston perspectives to the fair.
Plus, we’re also joined by Untitled Art executive director Clara Andrade, who tells us about the fair’s educational programming and the prizes to be awarded during the event, and Houston-based artist Vincent Valdez tells us about his latest project.
