West Virginia is heading to Kansas this weekend, kicking off Big 12 Conference play against the Jayhawks. Vegas was already strongly in favor of Lance Leipold’s team, opening the line at 10.5 points, with money coming in heavily on Kansas, pushing it as high as 13.5 at most places.

So, we know how the bettors feel, but what about everyone else?  EerSports has taken this opportunity to look around the industry for the experts’ thoughts on the game and if they agree. Here’s what we found.

Starting with the computers, ESPN’s Football Power Index gives the Mountaineers a 19.4% chance of winning. PFF’s Greenline is almost exactly in line, with a 19.6% chance. Meanwhile Bill Connelly’s SP+ is the most positive of the three, giving WVU a 33% chance of winning the game outright.

As for living human beings, David Kenyon over at BleacherReport has Kansas winning, 31-21. All three experts at AthlonSports picked the Jayhawks.

And…. that’s it. Because neither team is ranked, not many college football national writers are taking the time to pick this week’s game.
