Ronny Whaley passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on June 25, 2025. Funeral service: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2025 in Mount Olivet Chapel, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment: Richland Cemetery. Born in Nashville, Tennessee, Ronny relocated to Texas as a young child, where he would go on to build a life marked by hard work, quiet strength, and deep devotion to his wife, daughters and grandchildren. Whether telling a funny joke, planting flowers, or simply enjoying the beauty of a western film, Ronny found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was a man who loved fiercely-his family always came first. If you needed help, Ronny was the first to show up. His generosity knew no bounds, and his loyalty was unwavering. Among the many titles Ronny held in life, none meant more to him than “Papa.” His grandsons were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. His legacy will live on through the lessons he taught, the stories he told, and the love he gave so freely. Ronny D. Whaley will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, and friend-a man of principle, heart, and unmatched dedication. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
