Authorities responding to barricaded suspect, fire at North Side home

Fire reported around 7:30 p.m. Monday in the 3700 block of Chartwell Drive

SAN ANTONIO – Authorities are responding to a barricaded suspect and fire at a North Side home, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.

The fire was reported around 7:30 p.m. Monday in the 3700 block of Chartwell Drive.

“We are having to fight the fire defensively and protect exposures while PD still has their situation ongoing,” an SAFD spokesperson said.

Photos at the scene show the house engulfed in flames.
