UPDATE (10:32 p.m.) – A suspect is at large in connection with a shooting that took place after a large fight at a convenience store.

Officers responded to a call around 4 p.m. regarding a shooting in progress. Upon arrival, they discovered a victim with head injuries.

The victim, accompanied by two women, had been involved in an altercation with the suspect, who was reportedly in a dating relationship with one of the women.

The confrontation began after the victim intervened in an argument between the suspect and the woman. The suspect allegedly struck the victim multiple times in the head with a two-by-four.

Following the fight, the parties separated, but the suspect later emerged with a shotgun and fired at the victim. Fortunately, neither the victim nor a child initially reported as injured was struck by gunfire.

The suspect, described as a Black male in his 20s or 30s, wearing all black, fled the scene. Police established a perimeter and deployed a SWAT team, but the suspect remains at large.

Investigators are currently gathering evidence to locate the individual involved.

SAN ANTONIO – An ongoing SWAT situation has been reported in a neighborhood just west of Downtown.

Around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, reports were received of a heavy police presence near the corner of San Fernando Street and South Colorado Street.

Ten San Antonio Police units, in addition to SWAT, are reportedly working to remove a barricaded subject from a residence.

A portion of South Colorado Street and San Fernando Street is blocked off. Avoid the area if possible.
