Season 28 of NBC’s hit singing competition “The Voice” is underway and one talented 19-year-old singer based in the City of Brotherly Love is already impressing the coaches.
Lucas Beltrán, born in Peru but now living in Philadelphia, performed Lou Rawls’ “You’ll Never Find Another Love Like Mine” during the show’s Blind Auditions.
Coaches Reba McEntire and Michael Bublé were so impressed that they turned their chairs during his performance. Beltrán ultimately chose to join Team Bublé.
Beltrán regularly performs in New York City and has also sung on stage at Chris’ Jazz Cafe in Center City Philadelphia.
Beltrán now moves on to the Battle Rounds. You can watch “The Voice” on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
