Discovering a painting, sculpture, or piece of zazzy art that strangely and strongly speaks to your soul, and possibly your heart, and definitely your brain, doesn’t happen every day.
But it might happen at a beautiful and “bizarre” art spectacular, an engaging and imaginative event that puts the emphasis on independent works and the thinkers that think them up, then make them, then put them out into the world.
The Other Art Fair has long been that outlandish-y extravaganza, a multi-day meet-up that features a sizable collection of intriguing works created by over 150 artists.
Presented by Saatchi, the fair will fill out the oh-so-big Barker Hangar in Santa Monica through Sept. 28, and tickets are available for purchase through the site.
“The Other Art Fair has always been about discovery, connection, and breaking down barriers in the art world,” said Nicole Garton, Global Fair Director.
“This year’s Los Angeles edition is our biggest yet, and we’re thrilled to bring together such a diverse group of artists and engaging programs for collectors and first-time visitors alike.”
New in 2025? Enter The Dread Spa, where soothing sound baths and a host of “immersive and restorative experiences” await, should a moment or two of uplifting peace be among your goals (goals we surely all share).
Collecting art without getting too spendy is one focus of The Other Art Fair’s offerings, while DJ tunes, interactive art-making, and other festive details are adding oomph to the already fully oomph-ified schedule.
