“Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan has picked up several accolades over the last few years, but his latest honor hits close to home.

Sheridan is among more than a dozen people who will be inducted into R.L. Paschal High School’s Hall of Honor next month. The award ceremony is set for 10:30 a.m. to noon on Oct. 20 in the school’s auditorium.

The honor comes nearly 40 years after Sheridan graduated from Paschal High School in 1987.

After a lengthy acting career, Sheridan turned to screenwriting in the 2010s and wrote the films “Sicario,” “Hell or High Water” and “Wind River.” In 2018, he created “Yellowstone” and has gone on to create around half a dozen more shows since, including the Fort Worth-filmed “Landman.”
