Where is Loop 101 scheduled to be closed over the weekend?
The northbound lanes of the Loop 101 Pima Freeway are scheduled to be closed between Shea Boulevard and Princess Drive/Pima Road from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday due to the ongoing widening project in that area, according to ADOT.
Officials are also planning on closing the on-ramps to the freeway at Via de Ventura and 90th Street at the same time.
To get around this closure, ADOT advises drivers to take the westbound Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway to northbound State Route 51 in Phoenix, and then use SR 51 to reach Loop 101.
Drivers who get off Loop 101 at Shea Boulevard can take the road west to reach Scottsdale Road, and then go north to get back on Loop 101.
In addition, the southbound Loop 101 frontage road is scheduled to be closed between Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Raintree Drive overnight from 9 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday for sign work.
The off-ramp from the southbound lanes of the Loop 101 at Raintree Drive is already closed. It is scheduled to reopen in November.
Where is Loop 202 scheduled to be closed over the weekend?
There is a planned closure for the westbound lanes of the Loop 202 Santan Freeway between Arizona Avenue and Price Road in Chandler from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, according to ADOT.
This would allow crews to work on bridges as part of the ongoing freeway widening project in that area.
As part of this planned closure, the on-ramps at Gilbert, Cooper and McQueen roads would be closed. Officials are also planning on closing Arizona Avenue in both directions at the Loop 202 from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 p.m. Saturday.
ADOT said drivers can use westbound US 60, Pecos Road or Germann Road to get around this closure.
The westbound on-ramp at Arizona Avenue, the westbound off-ramp at Price Road, the westbound off-ramp at Alma School Road and the eastbound on-ramp at Alma School Road are all currently experiencing ongoing closures due to this project.
Other planned roadwork to keep in mind over the weekend
While not a full closure, ADOT said the southbound Loop 101 Price Freeway is also scheduled to be narrowed down to two lanes between University Drive and Broadway Road in Tempe from 9 p.m. Friday to 1 p.m. Saturday for planned maintenance.
During that restriction, the on-ramp at University Drive and the off-ramp at Broadway Road will also close.
