One Indiana Fever player was dubbed the “Reverse Steph Curry” on Sunday after her three-point blunder against the Las Vegas Aces at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind.
Fever guard Shey Peddy missed a long-range shot in the second quarter of Game 4 of the WNBA semifinals that would have made the Golden State Warriors star shudder. With under six minutes left in the first half, Peddy lined up a top-of-the-key three over Aces guard Dana Evans. The veteran knew the shot was going wayward the moment she released it.
Peddy instantly turned around and ran back down the court within a split second of the ball leaving her hands. The clip of the shot went viral on social media with the caption “The reverse Steph.”

Curry is famous for being so confident with his three-point shooting that he’d occasionally turn around to celebrate a basket without even watching to see if it goes in. Peddy did the reverse on Sunday.
Peddy remained a good sport about it after the game. She reposted the clip of her miss and said that the ball “slipped” out of her hands.
“Nah reverse Steph is hilarious,” Peddy captioned. “It slipped out of my hands so I knew how bad it was about to look lmaooo [sic]”

Embarrassing lowlight aside, Peddy actually played well in a pivotal Fever Game 4 win. The botched three-pointer was her lone miss of the night, scoring seven points on 3/4 shooting to go along with three rebounds and two steals.
