Mexican restaurant chain Rosa Mexicano has opened a new location at the Empire Hotel, near its original Lincoln Center site.
The new location is situated on the mezzanine level of the Empire Hotel at 44 W 63rd Street.
The move comes after more than two decades at its previous Lincoln Center location, marking an important moment in the brand’s long-standing New York City presence.
Rosa Mexicano CEO Jim Mazany stated: “Our new Lincoln Center restaurant is more than just a continuation of our story – it’s an evolution.
“We’re introducing an atmosphere that feels lively and elevated, while keeping everything guests have always loved about Rosa Mexicano – unforgettable flavours, iconic cocktails and our warm, fiesta-forward hospitality. For us, it’s about honouring the past, while creating the next great chapter for our team members and the Lincoln Center neighbourhood.”
Rosa Mexicano’s new space can seat more than 400 guests across a main dining room, multiple bars and a private dining room.
It includes multiple private-event areas to accommodate both small parties and large banquets and corporate events.
Its design was led by the company’s in-house team in collaboration with New York-based The Ensemble and The Floratorium.
Interior elements include a two-storey blue-tile water wall and a floor-to-ceiling bottle display holding more than 350 bottles of Flecha Azul tequila.
The menu features traditional Mexican dishes, including guacamole prepared tableside, Molcajete Fajitas, enchiladas and tacos.
The beverage programme offers a selection of margaritas, mezcal cocktails, tequila flights and non-alcoholic options such as the Guava Colada.
The venue stocks more than 100 premium tequilas and mezcals and offers Cucumber-Mint Refresco and Jarritos.
