Internal NASA GSFC Budget Chart – NASA via NASAWatch
Keith’s note: The following internal chart from NASA Goddard details some good news about diving catch efforts WRT budgets and cancellations to keep some things alive. Whether this actually comes to fruition or if OMB efforts negate the impact – remains to be seen. But good news is better than bad news. Chart text below.
New Stuff for the Week of 9/29

- Restores SMD to $6B, Heliophysics Division to $625M, Planetary Science Division to $2500M
- Helio received updated funding memos for operating missions
- Overall direction to avoid making big changes to contracts and grants.
- PHaSER cancellations based on PBR have been rescinded. Specific RAD terminations may still occur based on Sponsor funding.
- Able to fund RADs through Dec. 31. Evaluating opening up through March but have to keep an eye on burn rates so there is not a surplus of funds on June 30.

Buliding 21 Move: Assistant Directors of all the Divisions are working with Code 221 Planning to identify potential technical spaces. Once all technical space is identified will know where personnel associated with the lab work will nominally sit.
- Goal is to be moved out of B.21 by 3/30/2026.
- Lab moves will be done as project work allows (must be moved by 3/30).
- Office moves will be scheduled as space becomes available.
- Still focusing on Bulldings 28, 32, 33 and 34
