HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Three people have been hospitalized after a shooting in northwest Harris County on Tuesday night, deputies said.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Pct. 5 deputies responded to the 19000 block of Yaupon and found a 17-year-old boy, his mother, and grandmother with gunshot wounds.
Deputies say the teen was arguing with a group of teenagers. The boy’s mother and grandmother tried to bring him inside, but before they could, the fight turned into a shootout.
Authorities say at least a dozen bullets went flying in the Yaupon Ranch subdivision, hitting cars and nearly hitting bystanders.
All three victims are in stable condition.
An investigation is underway.
