SAN ANTONIO – Crews are fighting back flames at a structure fire just east of downtown.
Around 7:25 p.m. on Tuesday, crews rushed to the scene of a structure fire near the corner of Chestnut Street and East Crockett Street.
When first responders arrived, they found an abandoned building near Downtown on fire. The fire was contained to one room.
Firefighters quickly put out the flames, and the fire was not able to spread throughout the cinderblock building.
Initial reports suggest that a bundle of trash and clothing had caught fire. No suspects had been seen fleeing the abandoned structure by responding officers.
