The META Quest 3S Xbox Edition is a virtual reality headset that comes with a pair of Meta Quest Touch Plus controllers, a limited edition Xbox Wireless Controller, and and a 3-month subscription to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
Unlike the normal version of the Meta Quest 3S, which has a white body, the Xbox Edition also matches the Xbox aesthetic with a “Carbon Black” and “Velocity Green” color scheme. The Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition is available now for $400.
For the most part the new Xbox-branded headset is the same device as the model that Meta first launched in September, 2025, which you can currently buy for $300 and up. But Microsoft worked with Meta on more than just a custom color scheme.
The Xbox controller included in the box is already paired with the headset, the Xbox app for Quest is pre-installed, and The Verge notes that when you turn on the headset it’ll take you straight to the Xbox app.
That said, if you’ve already got a Meta Quest 3 there’s no reason to trade in your hardware for a new Xbox-branded model unless you really like green and black. You’ve been able to install the Xbox app on Quest devices for the past few years, and you can use it to stream games from Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass Ultimate service.
