Jeremy Cluff writes: “The Broncos get to go East on a short week against an Eagles team that just finds ways to win at home. That’s not good news for Denver.”
Bookies.com: Bet the Eagles to cover vs Broncos
Bill Speros writes: “The Eagles rampaged through September, toppling the Chiefs, Rams and 3-0 Bucs along the way. Philly faltered in the 2nd half Sunday, and were shut out once the Bucs shut down Saquon Barkley. It will be warm in Philly on Sunday. This week, the Eagles get another 2024 playoff entrant from last season, their fourth of the season. The Broncos head East off a Monday night game against Cincinnati at home in Week 4. Lots of intangibles in Philly’s favor here.”
The site’s formula predicts that the Eagles will win the NFL Week 5 game against the Broncos.
ESPN: Eagles have a 64.2% chance to beat Broncos on Sunday
The site gives the Broncos a 35.5% shot at winning the NFL Week 5 game, with the remaining percentage accounting for a tie.
Dimers: Eagles 25, Broncos 21
It writes: “After extensive simulations, our model gives the Broncos a win probability of 36%, while the Eagles have a win probability of 64%.”
Sportsnaut: Eagles 17, Broncos 13
Matt Johnson writes: “It’s a matchup in NFL Week 5 between two of the least effective passing offenses in the league. At least the Denver Broncos have a bit of an excuse, with quarterback Bo Nix playing poorly despite having a good offensive line protecting him. For Philadelphia, coming in averaging just 138 pass yards per game (31st in the NFL), there’s less of an excuse. Denver’s exceptional defense does provide it with a chance to pull off the surprise win at Lincoln Financial Field, especially since Sean Payton will exploit the vulnerabilities this Eagles defense has against the run and at the No. 2 corner spot. However, you can run the football on Denver. Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts will do just enough for Philadelphia to escape with a 5-0 record.”
