Public Enemy came to “Fight the Power” and remind listeners to “Don’t Believe the Hype” when they dropped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, September 29th. Watch a replay of their medley performance below.
Four decades into their career, Public Enemy remain as defiant as ever, and in a reference to Kimmel’s recent suspension, Flavor Flav opened the performance by saying, “I just want you to know that Public Enemy always got your back.”
Chuck D and Flavor Flav sandwiched their classics “Don’t Believe the Hype” and “Fight the Power” around “The Hits Just Keep On Comin,” a recent single from their upcoming album, Black Sky Over the Projects: Apartment 2025.
