More clouds and scattered showers, drier weather returns mid-week

  • October 5, 2025

The Harvest Moon is on Monday, only enhancing the already high tides

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The east winds will continue to bring onshore rain and windy conditions across the area on Sunday. A few breaks in the clouds midday will allow temperatures to warm into the lower 80s. It will also be humid.

Rounds of rain again on Sunday with less sunshine. There’s a slight chance of fast-moving afternoon thunderstorms as the heat rises. Gusts expected in the low to mid 20s, especially along the coast.

NWS Coastal Flooding Explainer

By mid-week, warming temperatures and drier conditions will be a nice break from the wind and rain. However, the northeast winds will return by the weekend, bringing coastal hazards back into the forecast.
