DALLAS — An Italian ice and frozen custard chain plans to add 20-plus North Texas locations over the next five years.
Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard, which has hundreds of stores across the U.S., including three in North Texas, is planning a big DFW expansion with 20-plus new locations in the area over the next five years, according to a press release.
Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard already has two locations in Arlington — one at 101 E. Abram Street and another at 6275 S. Cooper Street — and one in Bedford at 505 N. Industrial Boulevard, according to their website.
“This ‘cool treats boom’ comes as the frozen dessert competition heats up, with Dairy Queen, Andy’s, and Jeremiah’s already vying for attention,” the press release notes.
Those craving a frozen treat can also find Rita’s at the State Fair of Texas, debuting their Wild Black Cherry Bliss, which includes wild black cherry Italian ice, black cherry cheesecake frozen custard and cherries.
